Hide and SeekIt’s that time of year again…CTIA! We are so excited to be attending and exhibiting at this awesome event once again. This year, CTIA will be held in Las Vegas, at the Sands Convention Center, and they are expecting their biggest crowd yet.

As many of you may know, we always have a fun trick up our sleeves, and this trip is no exception! We want you to get involved as much as you can with eTrak. So how are we going to make that happen? We’re going to let YOU log in and track US. Yup, that’s right; starting today you will be able to see where we are, where we’ve been, and where we are going.

And you know what, it gets even better… We are actually giving out prizes for those of you who find us while we are in Vegas! How does a nice dinner for two sound, or maybe tickets to a show, or even some cash to spend? We have it all waiting for you!

eTrak Order Fulfillment Up And Running

Up and running indeed! The eTrak website is now updated and ready to accept and fulfill orders. That’s right; we are shipping orders as they come in, and couldn’t be more excited.

We know many of you have been extremely patient and have been waiting a long time for this product and we thank you. The reason for the delay? eTrak wants to give you the best possible product available. After months of beta testing, the eTrak device has been perfected and is ready for you!
If you have pre-ordered a device, expect to receive your device within the next week. Watch your email inbox for a message from eTrak confirming your order and another message containing a tracking number for your package.

If you have yet to order an eTrak device and would like to, visit www.eTrak.com. You will then click “Order A New eTrak Device” in the upper right corner (see below) and follow the onscreen instructions. Once you have placed your order, you can expect to receive your device within the next 5-7 business days.

Light It Up Blue

April is Autism Awareness Month and we need your help to Light It Up Blue!

April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day, and to celebrate, thousands of people worldwide are joining forces to Light It Up Blue. “Light It Up Blue is a unique global initiative that kicks-off Autism Awareness Month and helps raise awareness about autism. In honor of this historic day, many iconic landmarks, hotels, sporting venues, concert halls, museums, bridges and retail stores are among the hundreds of thousands of homes and communities that take part to Light It Up Blue.” (Autism Speaks)

A few recognizable landmarks that have participated in Light It Up Blue are The Empire State Building, Niagara Falls, and the Sydney Opera House.

Autism spectrum disorders are diagnosed in one in 88 children in the United States. The complex neurobiological disorder can inhibit a person’s ability to communication and develop social relationships. Many children and adults with autism tend to wander, potentially placing them in dangerous situations.

The mission of Autism Speaks is to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders and raise awareness about autism and its effects on individuals and families.

eTrak hopes to supply an eTrak device for every person with autism. When the device leaves a designated safety zone, the parent or caregiver will immediately be notified. With the help of eTrak, parents and caregivers will have the peace of mind they have been looking for.

eTrak Goes To SXSW

SXSWRight in eTrak’s backyard is a city known for its music, entertainment, culture, diversity, creativity, longhorns, government, arts, food, buildings, nature and most of all, being “weird.”

If you haven’t guessed by now, we’re talking about Austin. This great city is known for being the eclectic capital of Texas. Whether you want to relax on Lake Travis, party on 6th Street, or tour The University of Texas, Austin has a little bit of everything.

Every spring, Austin hosts one of the largest music festivals, of its kind, in the world! South by Southwest attracts more than 20,000 people to the 10 day event featuring music, films, and emerging technology.

This year, eTrak will be making the trip to Austin for SXSW, but here’s the catch….we want YOU to come with us! You’re probably wondering how that’s possible, and this is what we’ve done…

eTrak Launches New GPS+ Product Line Utilizing

Patented “Hybrid Tracking System”

LAS VEGAS, NV, JANUARY 7, 2013– eTrak announces the release of its GPS+ line of consumer and commercial tracking products. GPS+ is eTrak’s patented technology that integrates the usage of Wi-Fi and cell ID with GPS to achieve the most accurate positioning possible, both indoors and out.

We are finally starting to cool off here in Texas, but things at eTrak are heating up! Many of you have been waiting for your eTrak devices and we thank you for your patience. Unfortunately, a few things have been delayed and we will not be able to begin shipping devices until early February. Stars Come Together In Support Of Autism

This year, John Stewart joined forces with Comedy Central to host the fourth special event to benefit a variety of autism programs. “Night of Too Many Stars,” which aired on Sunday, brought an array of celebrity all-stars together for an evening filled with performances, skits, and short films.

A favorite of the evening was Katy Perry’s performance with Jodi DiPiazza, singing Perry’s hit, “Firework.” DiPiazza, a young girl with Autism and an incredible talent for music, shared the stage with Perry in a beautiful duet bringing many audience members to tears. After their performance, the crowd erupted in a standing ovation as DiPiazza stepped from behind the piano she was playing to give Perry a hug.

Events and stories such as this one are a wonderful reminder of the amazing people we are supporting. eTrak is honored to be partnered with a program in support of Autism .

Prone To Wander

At eTrak our work is dedicated to protecting people and assets. When it comes to keeping people safe, much of our focus has been on those with special needs. We are partnered with some amazing groups such as The National Down Syndrome Society and Autism Speaks, whose main goal is to educate people and support families and caregivers. eTrak wants to help these groups spread awareness and show our support wherever possible.

It has been a known fact that many people with Autism tend to wander, but lately we have seen an increase in stories on wandering cases. Many of these stories pertain to young children with Autism who have strayed from home without their parents knowing. While most of these children are found within a few hours, some of them are not as fortunate.

In an effort to reduce the number of people with special needs who have gone missing, we would love to see an eTrak device in the hands of 1 out of every 10 families with a child or adult with special needs.

eTrak’s location tracking device will provide peace of mind for families and caregivers to Always Know where their loved ones are. The Safety Circle feature allows a person to set up boundary circles which will notify them when a circle has been breached. The device is also equipped with a Panic Button in the event a person feels they are in danger. When pressed, the device will send a notification with a map and its location to the parent or caregiver.

Having a child or loved one go missing can be a terrifying thing. While eTrak cannot completely eliminate this from happening, our location tracking device can assist in search efforts and lessen the number of wandering cases.

Patience Is A Virtue

Growing up as an only child, my parents made sure to teach me the importance of patience. Of course at the age of five, being the rambunctious child I was, the last thing I wanted was to be patient. Now of course as an adult, I see the value in the lessons my parents taught me.

Today we live in a society where much of what we want or need can be obtained instantly – food, photos, money, prescriptions. At times it can be hard for us as adults to remember to be patient. That is why eTrak wants to thank you for your patience over the last few months. Many of you have already pre-ordered your eTrak location tracking devices and have been looking forward to receiving them for quite some time.

The wait is almost over; eTrak will begin fulfilling orders and shipping devices starting in November!

At eTrak we want to produce and distribute the best device possible. After numerous tests and revisions, the eTrak device is finally ready for YOU.

Not Enough Hours In The Day

There are days, more often than not, when I wish I had a few extra hands to help and a few extra hours to get more done. Wake up, get the kids ready, send them to school, get to work, pick the kids up, make dinner, and suddenly it’s time for bed. I could have sworn only six hours had passed….not 16 hours! I’m sure many of you have felt the same way.

Unfortunately, I can’t add any hours to the day and I don’t know how to grow an extra arm; But I DO know one thing… eTrak’s location tracking device will give you the peace of mind many parents are looking for.

With its “Personal Panic Button” and ability to set up “Safety Circles,” eTrak makes sure you Always Know where your children, loved ones, pets, or belongings are. The Panic Button will notify you immediately via text and email when it is pressed. The Safety Circle feature allows you to set up zones where you expect your loved one or pet to be. When they leave the circle or enter a new one, you will be notified via text and email.
