If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to contact us at info@eTrak.com. If you would like to pre-order an eTrak device for you or your family click here!

Once again, we are so sorry for this delay and ask that you please stay patient.

Prone To Wander

At eTrak our work is dedicated to protecting people and assets. When it comes to keeping people safe, much of our focus has been on those with special needs. We are partnered with some amazing groups such as The National Down Syndrome Society and Autism Speaks, whose main goal is to educate people and support families and caregivers. eTrak wants to help these groups spread awareness and show our support wherever possible.

It has been a known fact that many people with Autism tend to wander, but lately we have seen an increase in stories on wandering cases. Many of these stories pertain to young children with Autism who have strayed from home without their parents knowing. While most of these children are found within a few hours, some of them are not as fortunate.

In an effort to reduce the number of people with special needs who have gone missing, we would love to see an eTrak device in the hands of 1 out of every 10 families with a child or adult with special needs.

eTrak’s location tracking device will provide peace of mind for families and caregivers to Always Know where their loved ones are. The Safety Circle feature allows a person to set up boundary circles which will notify them when a circle has been breached. The device is also equipped with a Panic Button in the event a person feels they are in danger. When pressed, the device will send a notification with a map and its location to the parent or caregiver.

Having a child or loved one go missing can be a terrifying thing. While eTrak cannot completely eliminate this from happening, our location tracking device can assist in search efforts and lessen the number of wandering cases.

If you or a loved one have a special needs family member and would like an eTrak device check out our pre-order page. eTrak is also FREE for the NDSS and the Autism Speaks community!!

Not Enough Hours In The Day

There are days, more often than not, when I wish I had a few extra hands to help and a few extra hours to get more done. Wake up, get the kids ready, send them to school, get to work, pick the kids up, make dinner, and suddenly it’s time for bed. I could have sworn only six hours had passed….not 16 hours! I’m sure many of you have felt the same way.

Unfortunately, I can’t add any hours to the day and I don’t know how to grow an extra arm; But I DO know one thing… eTrak’s location tracking device will give you the peace of mind many parents are looking for.

With its “Personal Panic Button” and ability to set up “Safety Circles,” eTrak makes sure you Always Know where your children, loved ones, pets, or belongings are. The Panic Button will notify you immediately via text and email when it is pressed. The Safety Circle feature allows you to set up zones where you expect your loved one or pet to be. When they leave the circle or enter a new one, you will be notified via text and email.

The speed of these notifications is absolutely outstanding. Within SECONDS of the Panic Button being pressed or a Safety Circle being breached you will receive both a text and email notification. These notifications will include the location of the device, as well as a map and turn by turn directions to where they are. Absolutely amazing!

While I still could use a few extra hours and some help here and there, I’m convinced eTrak will give back a few hours to my life. No more stressing where my purse is or where did I park my car. No more worrying where in the neighborhood the kids are playing. eTrak’s location tracking device will make sure you Always Know.

A Buddy Walk Success

Large crowds gathered to show support at the 2012 Cincinnati Buddy Walk

Buddy Walk season is in full swing and we are so excited to be a part of it! After partnering with The National Down Syndrome Society, eTrak wanted to show our support and participate in some Buddy Walks across the country.

In 2011, over 250 Buddy Walk events took place with over 285,000 participants coming out to show support. The walks have raised more than $11 million and Buddy Walk has been ranked in the top 30 fundraising events nationwide.

This past weekend, eTrak participated in their first walk this season in Cincinnati, OH. Even though it was a bit rainy, the turnout was great and the feedback was incredible!

Everyone loved the idea of the eTrak location tracking device. The ability to set up “Safety Circles” that notify you when your loved one leaves one circle and enters another was icing on the cake for everyone.

A low cost child tracking device is just what these parents have been looking for. What a great feeling to know we can provide them with exactly what they need!

Confession: I Love My Job

An average day at the eTrak office

Nothing beats the feeling of waking up and being excited to go to work. Many people cannot say that about their job, but I am blessed to say that I love my job! It is hard to complain about a job that allows you to sip on a cup of coffee while spreading the word about an amazing product built to help others.

eTrak’s location tracking device was developed with special needs people in mind. John Harris, the brilliant mind behind eTrak, wanted to create a device to give caregivers, parents, or anyone the peace of mind to Always Know where their loved ones are.

That is why the GPS+ location-tracking device is equipped with a panic button AND it gives you the option of setting up “Safety Circles.” The panic button will immediately send you a text and email, when pressed, in the event of an emergency or any other situation. The safety circle feature allows you to set up parameters around designated areas; when the device leaves one circle or enters a new one, you will immediately be notified via text and email.

These unique features are great if you are trying to keep up with kids going to and from school and sports, if you have an aging parent who lives alone, or if you are a caregiver for someone with special needs. Our goal is to make sure you have peace of mind knowing your loved one is safe and secure at all times.

So, now can you see why I love my job so much? What an amazing product to be a part of!

Happy Friday, everyone and have an amazing Labor Day weekend!

First Day Jitters

eTrak's very own blogger on her first day of school

Call me crazy, but I still remember what I wore on my very first day of school; a little blue and red dress with white trim, black and white oxford shoes, and a red bow in my hair to top it off. I’m sure many of you can also think back and remember what you wore and the excited nerves that went along with the first day.

For some of you, this week is the first time you are sending your child to school and you are probably more nervous than they are; for others, this has become a yearly routine and while you are a bit sad, you are also pleased to have the house back to yourself.

Summer is nothing less than a whirlwind of fun activities – birthday parties, trips to the pool, and family vacations, but we all know the fun can’t last forever. It’s time to get the kids back to school and many parents back in the PTA.

eTrak’s location-tracking device is great for those of you whose children ride the bus or have after school activities. You will Always Know their whereabouts by simply checking your phone or computer, giving you peace of mind knowing they are safe.

eTrak and The National PTA have created a brilliant partnership to benefit YOU! eTrak will waive the $99 fee of the device, giving it to you for FREE! You are only responsible for a one-time $39 activation fee and the monthly tracking fee of $14.95, with a 24 month agreement.

And to top it off, eTrak will donate $10 for every device sold through the PTA! Your local unit will receive $6, the state unit will receive $2, and the national chapter will receive $2.

As far as my first day went, I was a bundle of nerves for all of 30 seconds but quickly found myself giggling and playing with all the other first-timers. eTrak wishes everyone a wonderful first day and hope it leads to an amazing year to follow!

That Gut-Wrenching Feeling When…

If you are a parent, you know the gut-wrenching feeling when you can’t find your child for a split second. Now, imagine being in the D.C. Metro station where there are hundreds, even thousands, of people in a hurry trying to get to their own desired destination, and suddenly you see your little daughter speeding away on the train…while you are still standing on the platform. I can only imagine a feeling of sheer panic would set in.

This exact scenario happened to Amanda Enayati, a CNN columnist. Luckily a nice man helped Enayati’s young daughter off the train at the next stop and waited with her until she was reunited with her worried mother.

Children get lost and separated from their parents every day, whether it be in the hustle and bustle of a large city or in the middle of a grocery store. No matter how many times it has happened, nothing can curb the stomach dropping feeling it gives you.

eTrak wants to give parents, babysitters, siblings, or caretakers the peace of mind to Always Know where their child is, even if they get separated from them.

eTrak features a “Personal Panic Button.” If there is an emergency, like getting lost, they simply press and hold the Panic Button and you will immediately be notified via text and email. The alert message will also include a map with turn-by-turn directions to where they are!

So the next time you go out, let eTrak give you the peace of mind to Always Know where your loved ones are.

Fatal College Station Shooting

It is heartbreaking to hear yet another story of a fatal incident caused by unnecessary violence. Three people were killed, and others wounded yesterday in College Station, Texas, when Thomas Caffall opened gunfire on a local county constable.

Brian Bachmann, the fallen constable, was delivering an eviction notice when Caffall began to shoot at him out of his home. Police backup arrived shortly, finding Bachmann lying on the front yard. The police exchanged fire with 35-year-old Caffall for close to 30 minutes before Caffall was fatally shot by SWAT officers.

Caffall was said to be unstable and a “ticking time bomb.” Richard Weaver, Caffall’s stepfather, said at times they were worried Caffall would do something to harm his own family.  As of now, police are uncertain the reason behind the shooting.

Our thoughts remain with those whose family and friends were victims in this heartless incident.

The eTrak device is equipped with a panic button to be used in the event of an emergency. When pressed, the device will send an alert message to three predetermined contacts notifying them of its location with a map and turn-by-turn direction to where it is.

Missing Alzheimer’s Man Found In Ohio River

A 73-year-old Ohio man was found dead in the Ohio River, after slipping on the bank and drowning shortly after.

Wilbur “Randall” Maynard’s home health care nurse discovered him missing at 6:30 a.m. Saturday. Maynard had Alzheimer’s and was closely monitored by his family and nurse in hopes of preventing an accident such as what happened.

Maynard’s son believes he was on his way to go visit his sister when it started raining and he was forced to take shelter. While taking cover, Maynard slipped on the Ohio River bank, losing a shoe and falling into the river.

Stories like this one are heartbreaking to hear. We know eTrak can make a positive difference in many families’ lives and prevent accidents like Maynard’s. Please help us spread the eTrak word so we can bring peace of mind to one family at a time.

If you are a caregiver of a family member or friend with Alzheimer’s and would like an eTrak device, you can now pre-order yours HERE! Devices will be ready for shipment in September.
